His father Mr. J.C.Ramaswamy alias Shakti Prasad was a popular film actor who had acted in more than 200 films. His elder brother Kishor Sarja is a director. He has acted in Kannada, Tamil and Telugu films. He is an action hero and is popularly called as Action King Arjun. Few years before he started producing and directing films. Arjun started his career as a child artiste in Tamil films. Arjun has won the Filmfare Best Actor Award South on 2 occaison.
